The Internet has become one of the most widely used medium of communication. Web server software allows one to set up a Web site and publish data, which is then accessible to all.

 

Therefore, the problem is no longer finding information, but assessing the credibility of the publisher, as well as the relevance and accuracy of a document retrieved from the internet.

 

Tanzaniamidwestusa.org has elaborated a Code of Conduct to help standardize the reliability of the information that is posted by the Tanzanian Community Association, its members and other users of the web site.

 

Tanzanian Community Association does not intend to rate the quality of the information provided by its site users, but defines the following rules and regulations to guide in the acceptable usage of the site:

 

  • Web site users are asked to abide by basic ethical standards in presenting and posting information.
  • The information posted on the tanzaniamidwestusa.org website by users represents personal opinions and not those of Tanzanian Community Association - Midwest USA, NFP. Therefore, website users are to note that any information posted on tanzaniamidwestusa.org website should be a reflection of the Tanzanian Community Association - Midwest USA, NFP's mission statement and its constitution. All users of the tanzaniamidwestusa.org website are asked NOT to post indecent, offensive, discriminatory, harassing or disruptive remarks.
  • Tanzanian Community Association - Midwest USA, NFP is not responsible for, nor is it liable for classified advertisements or misleading information posted by its website users.
  • Tanzanian Community Association-Midwest USA, NFP prohibits the posting of pornographic material on its site. Any person that breaches this code will be subject to denial of the privilege of posting information on the tanzaniamidwestusa.org web site.
  • The tanzaniamidwestusa.org websites' Forum and Chat room will be used as a means for discussion and debate that is beneficial to our community. This web site will not entertain, neither will it be used as a stage for debating or propagating political ideology, religious convictions, or division of people in the community; rather, we would like that these mediums be  used to discuss culture, science, arts, education, and health as stated in the Mission Statement
